Extensions, LLM-assisted card writing, and cover art: Character Creator, templates, A1111

Part 5. Repo names and UIs change—follow README; no disallowed image guidance.

Extensions: LLMs that “fill in” cards

Community Silly Tavern extensions exist around Character Creator-style workflows (e.g. GitHub projects like bmen25124/SillyTavern-Character-Creator): LLM-assisted generation from existing ST data.

Do:

  1. Read README: install steps, compatible ST versions, extra API needs.
  2. Pilot on a throwaway card first.
  3. Back up before letting anything overwrite fields.

Extensions accelerate drafting—you still review the text.

Template libraries (e.g. Hugging Face)

Some repos publish fill-in templates you paste into an editor or ST. Treat them as scaffolding, not a finished publish.

Cover art: Automatic1111 and PNG

A common Reddit path: Automatic1111 (Stable Diffusion WebUI) for avatars, then pack into a PNG card.

Do:

  1. Generate images under the model/tool license.
  2. Export reasonable dimensions—huge PNGs hurt backups.
  3. Merge image + JSON into a card via ST or another editor; field keys stay in field series.

No explicit NSFW image tutorial—follow platform rules and law.

Sillycard on macOS

When files pile up and you want Finder-like PNG + embedded JSON edits before re-importing ST, Sillycard is a local alternative to “upload to a random web editor.”
